How to Print My Forms and Cover Letters on a Different Computer

First, congratulations on finishing the forms! You are almost done.

The Easiest Way

If you just need to print the forms on a new computer, the easiest way is to download the filled-out forms and cover letters as PDFs from the original computer (by clicking on the eyeball icon next to each form on the “Print and Review” page, and then clicking the download button on the bottom right corner).

Then transfer the PDFs to the new computer (You can transfer using a flash drive, or using something like Google Drive or Dropbox).

The Alternative Way

Alternatively, if you want to actually move all your data to the new computer, the process is a little more involved. We have a separate guide on how to do that.

Why can’t I just log in on the new computer?

You may wonder why you can’t just “log in” to your GreenCardHero account from the new computer. This is because we want to protect your personal data.

By design, GreenCardHero only stores your personal data on your own computer’s hard drive. So your data is never sent through the internet and hackers can’t steal it. 💪

However, a trade-off that comes with the added data security is when you want to print forms and cover letters from a different computer, that new computer doesn’t know your data so you have to transfer the forms over.

We understand that this workflow is not as convenient as having an online log in, but we think it’s worth the extra effort in order to keep everyone’s data safe. 🙌

About GreenCardHero

We are a community of former applicants who successfully went through the hair-pulling, eyeball-popping green card application process ourselves. We believe every couple should have access to quality guidance and file their application with confidence, without costing an arm and a leg in the process. That’s why we created the apps, tools, and guides at GreenCardHero. If you share our vision and want to contribute to the community, drop us a line!
